Olsen on: The Prosperity Gospel

It is my estimation that the health and wealth gospel teaching that proliferates on television and radio is one of the biggest problems in the church today. Apparently, Roger Olsen agrees with me.

I suggest you read the Olsen’s post, but if you are pressed for time, the final paragraph is the keeper:

This doctrine of guaranteed healing and financial prosperity through the “spoken word of faith” ought to be opposed with all might by all evangelical Christians. In my opinion, churches and evangelists who teach it are proclaiming a false gospel.
